Weekly Round-up of Agile Living Resources & Events

I’m very excited to be interviewing NLP and Hypnosis Master, Michael Watson, next week. Michael has amazingly elegant conversational change skills – when you listen to him, you relax, laugh and feel alive, and all the while huge perspective shifts are happening. Michael works closely with Jamie Smart, so those of you who enjoyed my call with Jamie last month will find that Michael has the same kind of gentle, elegant mastery in his coaching style.

How to Live Your Life Without Goals

I recently attended workshop with Martha Beck on “How to unleash your Genius” and start using your whole mind. It was two powerful days of activities designed to develop your right brain. On the first day a lot of the exercises involved drawing and much of the second day was invested in experimenting with impro storytelling as a way to access our right-brain genius.

One drawing exercise particularly stood out for me: Martha had selected a picture, enlarged it and then cut it up into little blocks, and we were each given two blocks. Nobody knew what the original picture was. We were asked to copy our little pictures onto a larger piece of paper, and then we placed the pictures together to re-create the original picture that Martha had enlarged, copied and cut up. Evolution, a Blog Carnival & More Agile Living Tips for You

This week I released the Bottom-line on Adam Jackson’s paradigm-shifting book, “The Flipside,” making this the Bottom-line Bookclub’s third month anniversary. Over the past few months I’ve loved getting to know the club members, and I’m enjoying creating the new Bottom-lines even more now, holding these people in mind. I’ve been chuffed to also read some rave reviews of the club, like this one.

As with all agile businesses, I’m continuously tweaking, improving and evolving it in response to feedback, and as I hatch new ideas for creating more of what I love and know my tribe will love. I have some ideas already in the pipeline and some decisions to make, and I want to make sure that it’s what you want, so would you help me by completing the short survey below and letting me know what you think?

How to Find the Hidden Opportunities in Crises

I had someone ask me a really interesting question the other day. Well, it was interesting to me, because it was a straightforward, simple question, but I was really surprised by how I struggled with the question, and really fascinated with the things that I learned about myself through continuing to contemplate the question. You see, questions are powerful paradigm-shifters. They can bring things from the background of our awareness to the foreground of our awareness and experience in a matter of seconds, and this can change everything. It can totally flip our experience of a relationship or situation and the options for responses that we see available to us.
